Health Minister Mustapha Ferjani Visits Oman to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation in Health Sector

The Minister of Health, Mustapha Ferjani, carried out a series of visits to the Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday, as part of the reinforcement of bilateral cooperation in the health sector.

Visit Program

The program included visits to:

  • The Oman Medical City
  • The Sultan Qaboos Center for Cancer Treatment and Research
  • The National Public Health Laboratory
  • The "Hay Al Jamaa" primary health care center
  • The "Minagen" factory
  • The Oman National Pharmaceutical Company

Objectives of the Visits

These visits aimed to consolidate the exchange of expertise between Tunisia and Oman, particularly in the fields of medical and pharmaceutical research. Discussions focused on priority areas such as:

  • The fight against cancer and chronic diseases
  • Genetic medicine and genomics
  • The integration of artificial intelligence in diagnosis, treatment, and development of primary health care services

Pharmaceutical Industry and Cooperation

An important aspect of the visit was also dedicated to self-sufficiency in the pharmaceutical industry, with the prospect of launching joint projects between scientific and industrial institutions of the two countries.

Common Vision and Goals

This visit is part of the common vision of the President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, aiming to promote social justice and improve the quality of health services, through an approach centered on health sovereignty and knowledge sharing.
