Tunisia and Nigeria Strengthen Bilateral Relations
Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives New Nigerian Ambassador
On Monday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, received the new Nigerian Ambassador to Tunisia, Kulu Haruna Abubakar, at the ministry's headquarters. The ambassador presented a copy of her letters of credence to the minister.
On this occasion, both parties expressed their shared willingness to strengthen Tunisia-Nigeria bilateral relations in strategic sectors, including:
- Communication technologies
- Health
- Pharmacy
- Medical tourism
- Agriculture
- Air transport
According to an official statement published on the ministry's official channels, the Tunisian Foreign Minister highlighted the solidity of bilateral relations established since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1962, praising the new dynamic characterizing their cooperation, illustrated by high-level delegation exchanges and Tunisian economic missions to Nigeria.
Ambassador Abubakar, on the other hand, conveyed greetings from Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Tunisian President Kaïs Saïed, expressing her commitment to working towards strengthening friendship relations between the two countries, particularly in the fields of higher education, health, and agriculture.
