Tunisian Football Federation Confirms FIFA Approval of Rani Khedira’s Switch to Tunisia
The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) announced that the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber has officially validated today the sporting‑affiliation change of midfielder Rani Khedira.
In a press release, the federation explained that, following the administrative procedures carried out by the FTF and in line with the player’s clear and expressed desire to represent Tunisia, the sole judge of the Players’ Status Chamber rendered a decision accepting the FTF’s request to change Khedira’s national association.
- Immediate eligibility: The ruling grants Khedira instant eligibility to play for the Tunisian national team.
- Notified bodies: The German Football Association (DFB), the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) have been formally informed of the decision.
Born in 1994, Rani Khedira will therefore bolster the ranks of the “Eagles of Carthage” in upcoming international competitions.
