Tunisia's Mufti Receives Report on Lunar Crescent Observation

Tunisia's Mufti, Hichem Ben Mahmoud, received a report from the National Meteorology Institute (INM) on Friday, May 15, 2026, regarding astronomical data related to the observation of the lunar crescent for the month of Dhul-Hijja 1447 of the Hijri calendar.

According to a statement from the Ifta Office, a working session was organized on this occasion, during which the head of the astronomy service at the INM, Yassine Zerouki, presented a detailed report on the scientific and astronomical conditions related to the visibility of the lunar crescent.
