Tunisian Parliament Representative to Join Maghrebian and Global Flotilla to Gaza
The President of the Commission on Rights and Freedoms at the People's Representatives Assembly, Mohamed Ali, announced on Saturday his participation, as a representative of the Parliament, in the "Maghrebian and Global Flotilla" which will depart tomorrow, Sunday, from Tunis to Gaza, as part of efforts to break the blockade imposed on the Palestinian people.
During a press conference held at the headquarters of the National Syndicate of Tunisian Journalists, Mohamed Ali emphasized the importance of establishing a global movement capable of constituting a pressure force to put an end to the atrocious and abominable war of extermination targeting our brothers in Gaza, in the face of the silence and powerlessness of the international community.
According to him, "the role of a deputy in Tunisia today obliges him to support the Palestinian right through his legislative action". He highlighted the fact that Tunisia, as a state, people, and president, has always been and remains one of the most fervent defenders of the Palestinian people.
