Tunisia Autoroutes Company (STA) Announces Suspension of Works and Reopening of A1 Highway
The Tunisia Autoroutes Company (STA) announced on Friday the suspension of works and the reopening of the A1 highway in both directions, between kilometer markers 69 and 84. This measure aims to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion on the occasion of the back-to-school season. The reopening of the highway will take effect from 11:00 AM on Friday, September 12, 2025. The STA specified in a statement published on Facebook that the works will resume at a later date, once the period of heavy traffic has passed.
