New Subsidy Window "NUMÜ" Launched to Support Tunisian Businesses

A new subsidy window called "NUMÜ" has been launched to support the implementation of support services aimed at accelerating the growth and sustainability of Tunisian businesses.

This initiative is part of the "WATANI" project, implemented by Expertise France in collaboration with the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) and funded by the Agence française de développement (AFD).

With a total budget of €1.4 million, this window targets support structures for entrepreneurship, including incubators, associations, non-governmental organizations, consulting firms, networks, and financial structures. Its goal is to finance services for formalized businesses that have been in operation for at least one year (startups, SMEs, and PMEs), to accompany them in their development, structuring, and access to new opportunities.

The "WATANI" project aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Tunisia by promoting the creation of sustainable economic opportunities in regions and mobilizing skills, particularly those of the diaspora.

In this context, the "NUMÜ" window should enable the accompaniment of approximately 500 entrepreneurs who have been in operation for at least one year, through innovative mechanisms facilitating access to the market, financing, and strengthening organizational, technical, and financial capacities.

Open until the funds are exhausted, and no later than September 30, 2026, this device provides for bimonthly evaluation cycles. Selected projects can extend over a maximum period of 24 months, including a closure phase.

With a total budget of €5 million over a period of 42 months, the "WATANI" project is structured around three main components: reinforced entrepreneurship support in regions, the implementation of innovative support mechanisms for SMEs/PMES, and the consolidation of innovation support structures, such as "The Dot".
