Ninth Edition of the African Investment and Trade Finance Forum (FITA 2026) Sees Over 2,400 B2B Meetings and 15 Partnership Agreements Signed
On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Anis Jaziri, President of the Tunisian-African Business Council, announced that the ninth edition of the African Investment and Trade Finance Forum (FITA 2026) had facilitated over 2,400 B2B meetings and the signing of 15 partnership agreements between Tunisian and African institutions and businesses.
Speaking on Express Fm, Jaziri described this edition as "successful," highlighting the participation of approximately 70 countries and the growth of economic exchanges between Tunisia and its African partners.
Several key projects were announced during the forum, including the "Kiamuna 2040" project covering over 43,000 hectares, as well as "Novation City" in Kinshasa, estimated at over €100 million. A technology park and industrial complex in the textile sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo were also presented.
Launch of the ATEX 2027 Expo
Building on these initiatives, Anis Jaziri announced the official launch of the first edition of the ATEX 2027 – African Technology & Expertise Expo, organized by the Tunisian-African Business Council and the TUCAD coalition.
Scheduled for April 6-8, 2027, at the Tunis Congress Palace, in conjunction with the tenth edition of the FITA forum, this event will focus on high-value-added technologies, services, and expertise.
According to the organizers, the expo aims to become a reference platform in Africa, bringing together businesses, investors, financial institutions, and experts around major development projects on the continent.
The event will be held alternately in Tunisia and other African countries.
New Technological Consortium and Permanent Deal Room
Anis Jaziri also announced the upcoming creation of a Tunisian consortium specializing in technologies and digital transformation, modeled after TUCAD, to strengthen the participation of Tunisian businesses in major infrastructure projects in Africa.
He also mentioned the establishment of a permanent "Deal Room" space to facilitate meetings between investors and project owners.
This initiative aims to enhance the financing of economic initiatives throughout the year through specialized support.
Finally, the President of the Tunisian-African Business Council highlighted the strategic potential of African markets for Tunisia, emphasizing their economic dynamism and the opportunities offered by the continent's growth.
