Tunisian President Kaïs Saïed Arrives in Algeria for Intra-African Trade Fair
The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, arrived in Algiers on Wednesday evening to participate in the opening of the fourth edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025). Upon his arrival at Houari-Boumédiène International Airport, the Tunisian Head of State was welcomed by his Algerian counterpart, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. The two presidents reviewed a military detachment and saluted the flags of the two countries to the sound of the Tunisian and Algerian national anthems. Kaïs Saïed had left Tunis earlier in the day in response to the invitation from his counterpart. The Head of Government, Sarra Zaafrani Zanzeri, the Governor of Tunis, Imed Boukhris, the Secretary General in charge of managing the municipality of Tunis, Lotfi Dachraoui, as well as several members of the presidential cabinet were present at the airport to bid farewell to the Head of State before his departure.
