Tunisia Reinforces its Regional Role in the Mediterranean Health Project MEDNET 4OH
The Minister of Health, Dr. Mustapha Ferjani, chaired a working session at the Ministry of Health on Monday to monitor and coordinate the project, in the presence of Italian and Algerian partners as well as representatives from the World Health Organization. The Italian Institute of Teramo (Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale di Teramo) and university laboratories also participated in the exchanges.

- Strengthening capacities in genomics, bioinformatics, and diagnosis of infectious diseases
- Combating antibiotic-resistant bacteria
- Enhancing the system for surveillance and prevention of emerging health risks in the region
Minister Ferjani's Statement
Minister Ferjani emphasized Tunisia's total commitment to this project, describing it as a pillar of regional cooperation and a concrete implementation of the "One Health" approach. He also praised the strategic partnership with Italy, Algeria, and the Institute of Teramo to strengthen regional health preparedness.
