Minister of Interior Khaled Nouri Presides Over Ceremony Marking 69th Anniversary of National Guard Creation

The Minister of Interior, Khaled Nouri, presided over a ceremony on Friday afternoon at the National School of the National Guard in Bir Bouregba (Nabeul Governorate), marking the 69th anniversary of the creation of the National Guard. On this occasion, he awarded diplomas to the students of the 75th promotion of non-commissioned officers, including 100 corporals from the new Municipal Guard brigade. This specialized brigade was created as part of the President of the Republic's decision to equip the National Guard with a corps responsible for supporting the work of economic control agents from the Ministry of Commerce. Its mission is to contribute to the preservation of food security and the fight against speculation and monopoly. It is also responsible for controlling anarchic constructions and protecting the environment against incivilities. In his speech, the Minister of Interior emphasized that Tunisia celebrates this anniversary "with pride and honor", in tribute to the sacrifices made by National Guard members for the defense of the country's security and peace. Khaled Nouri praised the efforts made by security and military units and the spirit of cooperation and complementarity that characterizes their action. He called on the graduates of the 75th promotion to demonstrate seriousness, responsibility, and selflessness in serving the country, protecting citizens, and respecting the law. "The security challenges our country faces, in a context of regional and international changes, require increased vigilance and perseverance," he declared. The Minister added that "protecting people and property, as well as improving the quality of administrative services provided to citizens, remain at the heart of security action and constitute the very essence of establishing stability."
