Investment Facility for Employment (IFE) Announces New Call for Project Proposals in Tunisia – March 20 2026

The Investment Facility for Employment (IFE) is set to launch a fresh call for project proposals in Tunisia on Friday, 20 March 2026.

Who Can Apply?

  • Private companies
  • Public organisations
  • Non‑profit entities

All eligible applicants may request co‑financing grants. To qualify, the investment projects must create jobs in the private sector.

Grant Size & Coverage

Grant amount per project % of total investment covered
€800 000 – €10 million 25 % – 90 %

Focus: “Job‑Creation” Component

The job‑creation pillar supports investments that generate sustainable employment in Tunisia and help remove barriers to investment. Typical eligible activities include:

  • Setting up production units
  • Purchasing equipment
  • Skills development and workforce training linked to the planned job‑creation project

New Feature for 2026 – Training for Potential Employment in Germany

In addition to the job‑creation grant, candidates can now request co‑financing for training measures that pave the way for possible employment in Germany. This option is reserved for applicants presenting a convincing Tunisian job‑creation project.

Eligible training‑related activities (prioritised during evaluation):

  • Construction, renovation, and equipping of buildings, classrooms, or workshops tailored to the national and German labour markets
  • Language training (German)
  • Technical‑skill upgrades aligned with German market needs
