Investigation into Premeditated Attack on "Flottile Soumoud" Vessel
A judge from the Counter-Terrorism Judicial Pole has ordered the imprisonment of a foreign national suspected of being involved in a premeditated attack on a ship belonging to the "Flottile Soumoud" fleet, docked at the Sidi Bou Saïd marina.
According to a judicial source cited by Diwan FM, the suspect had been residing in the northern suburbs of Tunis, specifically in La Marsa, for some time. An examination of his mobile phone revealed communications with foreign parties, strengthening suspicions about his motivations and potential involvement in transnational networks.
The Ministry of Interior had previously confirmed, in a published statement, that a ship from the Resistance Fleet was the target of a sabotage act at the Sidi Bou Saïd port. The ministry described the attack as "premeditated" but did not provide further details about the perpetrators or the exact circumstances.
The investigation, now in the hands of counter-terrorism authorities, is ongoing to determine the ramifications of this case and identify any potential accomplices or logistical supporters.
