Cooperation Prospects between Tunisia and the European Union (EU)
The prospects for cooperation between Tunisia and the European Union (EU) in several sectors, such as renewable energy, migration, economic development, and investment, were at the center of a series of meetings organized by the Tunisian Consulate General in Strasbourg with Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) from different political backgrounds.
These meetings took place on the sidelines of the European Parliament's ordinary session, which was held in Strasbourg from November 24 to 27, 2025.
According to a statement from the Department of Foreign Affairs, these meetings are part of the ongoing consultation between the Consulate General and MEPs, aiming to strengthen ties with European institutions in order to establish "in-depth and effective" cooperation based on mutual respect and shared interests.
The meetings also provided an opportunity to discuss several issues of common interest, including shared challenges at both the regional and global levels, according to the same source.
