National Agency for Employment and Independent Work (ANETI) Announces End of Contract Extensions

The National Agency for Employment and Independent Work (ANETI) announced on Friday that it will be ending extensions of Preparation for Professional Life Contracts (CIVP) as of October 1, 2025. The maximum duration of participation in the program for the same beneficiary within the same company is set at 12 months.

However, the agency specifies that extensions will still be possible for people with disabilities who hold a higher education degree or a higher technician certificate. Requests for extensions will no longer be accepted after September 30, 2025, the statement emphasizes.

For contracts currently in progress with a duration of less than nine months and scheduled to end after September 30, 2025, an exceptional extension may be granted within the same company to complete a maximum duration of 12 months.

ANETI also indicates that job seekers will be able to continue renewing their contracts with other companies, provided that the total duration of participation in the program does not exceed 24 months. In the event of exceeding 12 months of effective participation, the exceptional renewal with other companies will be limited to the difference between 24 months and the duration already completed.

This decision aims to frame and rationalize the CIVP program while maintaining specific support for people with disabilities.
