Tunisia Designated as Arab Capital of Tourism for 2027
Tunisia has been named the Arab Capital of Tourism for the year 2027 during the 28th session of the Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism, held on December 9, 2025, in Baghdad. This title constitutes a recognition of the country's cultural, historical, and tourist heritage, as well as the diversity of its natural, archaeological, and urban sites. This distinction also highlights Tunisia's artistic and creative influence, which will join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2026. It confirms the country's position as one of the major tourist destinations in the Arab world.
