Cinéma Jet Festival Continues its Journey in Nefta

After two intense weeks in Tabarka, filled with screenings, workshops, meetings, and citizen initiatives around cinema and the environment, the Cinéma Jet festival is now heading to Nefta from October 10 to 19, 2025. The creative breath of itinerant cinema is now unfolding in the heart of the oasis, transforming the city into a vibrant space of discovery, dialogue, and collective celebration. Faithful to its ambition of bringing cinema to everyone, everywhere in Tunisia, Cinéma Jet continues its journey with an engaged, free, and open programming for all.

Program in Nefta:

  • Environmental and educational workshops: promoting forest and oasis products, raising awareness among young people about ecology.
  • Cinema workshops for kids and adults: introduction to dubbing for children, robotics and environmental workshop, training in filmmaking with La fabrique à films.
  • A focus on Italian cinema, in partnership with the Italian Embassy, followed by an exceptional concert by artist Francesca Badalini, in collaboration with the Higher Institute of Music in Sousse.
  • Sonic Constellations: a stargazing evening, combining science, cinema, and music.
  • Screenings and debates, meetings with filmmakers, and cultural events to nurture dialogue and creativity.

With Cinéma Jet, the desert is illuminated with stories and images, in an approach where cinema serves the environment, youth, and cultural exchange. The Cinéma Jet festival is funded by the European Union Delegation in Tunisia and is supported by the Italian Embassy in Tunisia, the Spanish Embassy in Tunisia, the Swiss Embassy in Tunisia, and the Wallonia-Brussels General Delegation in Tunisia, as part of the "Cinematdour" initiative, which aims to make culture, and specifically cinema, accessible in the country's interior regions.

We invite you to join us in Nefta from October 10 to 19 to experience the unique adventure of itinerant, free, and popular cinema, rooted in the territories. According to the press release.
