Promotion of Cultural Diplomacy and Tourism: Tunisia Shines at "One Step, One Realm" Festival in China
As part of the promotion of cultural diplomacy and the valorization of Tunisia as a top tourist destination for the Chinese market, the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Beijing, in collaboration with the Office of the National Tunisian Tourism Board, participated in the cultural and tourist festival "One Step, One Realm" held on September 27, 2025, in the Chinese tourist city of Tai'an.
A Global Gathering of Cultures
This event brought together the participation of 20 countries showcasing their cultural heritage and tourist sites. Tunisia stood out with a rich and varied program, marked by a stand dedicated to Tunisian cultural and tourist products.
A Showcase of Tunisian Art and Culture
Tunisian artist Hassen Doss offered a remarkable artistic performance, accompanied by a group of Chinese artists, in a cultural, recreational, and artistic program that will soon be broadcast on the Chinese channel CCTV, followed by over 800 million viewers worldwide.
Strengthening Ties between Tunisia and China
Adel Arabi, Ambassador of Tunisia to Beijing, met with representatives of local authorities in the province and the festival organizers. During the opening ceremony, he delivered a speech highlighting the long tradition of friendship and cooperation between Tunisia and China, as well as the richness and diversity of Tunisian cultural heritage.
Boosting Tourism between Tunisia and China
Anouar Chtoui, Director of the Office of the National Tunisian Tourism Board in Beijing, presented an analysis of the evolution of the number of Chinese tourists in Tunisia in 2025 and the sustained efforts of the Tunisian government to diversify and strengthen the national tourist offer.
