Tunisia to Experience Atmospheric Depressions with Cold Air and Precipitations
Renowned geography professor and natural risk expert, Amer Bahba, announced on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, that Tunisia will be affected in the coming days by atmospheric depressions accompanied by cold air and precipitations.
During his appearance on Jawhara FM this morning, Bahba specified that the country is currently experiencing a desert depression with rain, which will continue today and tomorrow. This depression is heading towards the Gulf of Gabès and could affect the governorates of Sfax and Mahdia, while it is unlikely to affect Sousse and Monastir.
The meteorologist also reported the arrival of a polar depression with rain, with cold air expected from Friday evening. Saturday is expected to be particularly rainy, especially in northern Tunisia. The impact of this depression will last until the end of the week and the beginning of next week, with significant precipitation on the northern coast, particularly in the far northwest.
