Former CDC Director General Detained in Financial Corruption Case
The investigating judge at the economic and financial judicial pole ordered, on Thursday, the detention of the former Director General of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) as part of a case involving suspicions of financial and administrative corruption, according to a judicial source speaking to Diwan FM.
This decision comes on the heels of the incarceration of businessman Ahmed Abdelkefi, who is being prosecuted in a case related to alleged irregularities within the same institution.
The CDC, a central player in public financing and state fund management, has been at the center of judicial investigations into suspected practices of mismanagement and financial excesses for several weeks.
