Meeting Between Mohamed Ali Nafti and Ahmed Aboul Gheit

Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, received Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. The meeting took place during Aboul Gheit's visit to Tunisia, where he is participating in the "Artificial Intelligence Summit towards the Future 2025", held in Tunis on December 2-3, 2025.
Discussion Highlights
During the meeting, Minister Nafti emphasized the importance Tunisia attaches to supporting common Arab action and strengthening the role of the Arab League in responding to the challenges facing the region. He also reaffirmed Tunisia's constant willingness to support the various activities of Arab specialized organizations based in the country and to provide them with all necessary conditions to fulfill their missions.
Minister Nafti stressed the need for Arab unity to defend the causes of the Arab nation and its national security, with the Palestinian cause being a top priority.
Secretary-General's Remarks
For his part, Secretary-General Aboul Gheit expressed his satisfaction with his second visit to Tunisia in 2025. He praised the honorable positions of His Excellency President Kais Saied in defending the causes of the Arab nation and his enlightened vision in supporting common Arab cooperation.
Aboul Gheit also highlighted the facilities and attention enjoyed by Arab specialized organizations operating in Tunisia, reflecting Tunisia's active engagement in the activities of the Arab League and its affiliated structures and organizations.
