International Drug Trafficking Ring Dismantled by Security Forces
Security forces have successfully dismantled an international criminal network involved in drug trafficking, arresting several of its members and seizing a significant quantity of narcotics.
In a statement released on Saturday evening, the Ministry of Interior specified that following in-depth intelligence work, security forces proceeded to arrest ten individuals operating within this international network.
The police seized:
- 2,942 plates of cannabis
- A sum of 70,000 dinars
- Quantities of gold
- A sophisticated Thuraya-type communication device
- An advanced jamming device
- A firearm
The statement also noted that security forces confiscated significant logistical transport means, including:
- Three cars
- A truck
- Three motorcycles
- Two zodiacs
- Four fishing boats
The operation was described as "successful" and presented as "a significant blow to a dangerous international drug trafficking network".
