Tunisian Automotive Component Exports Exceed €2.2 Billion in 2024

Tunisian exports of automotive components have surpassed €2.2 billion (approximately 7.5 billion dinars) in 2024, according to Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy, Fatma Thabet Chiboub. This announcement was made during a high-level ministerial roundtable held on the sidelines of the Intra-African Trade Fair, which took place from September 4 to 10 in Algiers.

Initiatives and Future Plans

Furthermore, Fatma Thabet Chiboub announced that her department is currently working on installing electric vehicle charging stations in several regions of the country. This initiative aims to adapt Tunisia's industrial and energy infrastructure to global developments in the automotive sector.

Participation in the Intra-African Trade Fair

Tunisia is participating in the Intra-African Trade Fair with a pavilion featuring 24 exporting companies, including SMEs, artisans, and innovative start-ups.

Call for Enhanced Economic Integration

The Minister reiterated the importance of achieving enhanced economic integration among African countries to stimulate the competitiveness of the automotive industry on the continent.
