French Embassy in Tunisia Announces Stopover of "Energy Observer" in Tunis

The French Embassy in Tunisia announced on Thursday morning the stopover of the "Energy Observer" ship in Tunis, as part of a scientific and media mission dedicated to the posidonia fields off the coast of Bizerte.

About the "Energy Observer"

Based in Saint-Malo, "Energy Observer" is a French hydrogen-powered catamaran, autonomous in energy, and a pioneer in sustainable navigation. Launched in 2017 and developed in collaboration with engineers from CEA-Liten, it illustrates the effectiveness of a 100% renewable energy system, combining sail propulsion, photovoltaic panels, and hydrogen production by water electrolysis.

A Symbol of Sustainable Energy

This iconic ship has already completed several tours of the world without emitting any greenhouse gases, becoming a floating laboratory for energy transition and an ambassador for sustainable solutions.

Tunisian Stopover: A Continuation of Franco-Tunisian Cooperation

The Tunisian stopover is part of the continuity of Franco-Tunisian initiatives for scientific and environmental cooperation, particularly around the protection of marine ecosystems.
