Major Road and Bridge Projects to Begin in 2026
Several major road and bridge projects are set to commence in 2026, with an estimated total cost of 2.8 billion dinars, announced Slah Zouari, Minister of Equipment and Housing. Speaking during a plenary session at the Assembly of People's Representatives (ARP) on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, the minister specified that these projects involve the launch of 16 highway construction sites and 7 bridges, in addition to work on national and regional roads, as well as rural roads. These investments are part of the national strategy to improve transportation infrastructure, strengthen connectivity between regions, and support economic development at the national level.
