International Organization for Migration (IOM) Launches New Voluntary Return Operation to Guinea
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Tunisia announced on Tuesday the launch of a new voluntary return operation to Guinea, via a charter flight, benefiting 150 Guinean migrants. This initiative is part of the Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) program, implemented under the Migrant Protection Program in North Africa. The operation is funded by the European Union and Sweden. This is the sixteenth charter flight organized by the IOM in Tunisia since the beginning of 2025. Other returns have also been carried out via commercial flights, allowing more than 6,500 migrants to voluntarily return to their country of origin, according to the organization's statement.
