Minister of Transport Oversees Evaluation of National Airline's Fleet Maintenance Cell
The Minister of Transport, Rachid Amri, chaired a working session on Friday, October 3, dedicated to evaluating the performance of the national airline's fleet maintenance cell. Established on September 18, this cell operates under the supervision of the steering committee for the safety management system.
According to a statement from the ministry, the cell's progress rate has reached 68%. The minister recommended accelerating the implementation pace to complete the maintenance plan within the shortest deadlines. The cell is responsible for strengthening air safety in accordance with international standards, by multiplying periodic inspections of aircraft and quickly correcting any technical failures in coordination with the concerned structures.

Rachid Amri also welcomed the renewal of the PART 145 approval by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in favor of Tunisair Technics. This certificate authorizes the maintenance of European aircraft and their components, following a comprehensive audit conducted from September 30 to October 2, 2025. The minister described this distinction as a national success and recognition of Tunisian competencies in the field, emphasizing that it constitutes an encouragement to continue achieving honorable results.
