Tunisair Announces Hajj Flight Schedule and Special Services
Tunisair, the national airline of Tunisia, has announced the programming of 44 return flights to transport approximately 5,700 pilgrims to the holy sites from May 7 to June 14, 2026, departing from five Tunisian airports.
The affected airports are Tunis-Carthage, Sfax-Thyna, Monastir Habib-Bourguiba, Djerba-Zarzis, and Gabès-Matmata.
The outbound flights will take place from May 7 to 21, 2026. The flights to Medina will be from May 7 to 12, followed by flights to Jeddah from May 13 to 21. The return flights, on the other hand, will be scheduled from June 1 to 14, 2026, with a total of 22 return flights from Medina and Jeddah.
Tunisair is offering specific facilities for luggage, including two 23 kg bags, an 8 kg handbag, and the transportation of 5 liters of Zamzam water.
The airline is also launching a new service called "Hajj without Luggage," dedicated to pilgrims, aiming to improve their comfort. This device allows travelers to reach their accommodations in Mecca and Medina directly, without waiting for their luggage at the airport.
Their luggage is transported separately, from the airport to the hotel upon arrival, and from the hotel to the airport upon departure, under the supervision of specialized teams and in accordance with the strictest safety standards.
To benefit from this service, the company invites pilgrims to comply with the established guidelines, including attaching the dedicated labels to their luggage, verifying the accuracy of their personal information, and following the instructions of the coordinating teams.
