Tunis Transportation Company Announces Arrest of Individuals Responsible for Damaging Metro Train
The Tunis Transportation Company (STT) announced in a statement released on Friday, November 28, 2025, that specialized security units have apprehended the individuals responsible for damaging several windows of a metro train that occurred on Thursday, November 27, 2025, on line 5, while the vehicle was heading towards the Barcelone station.
Incident Details
The incident took place around 6:30 pm at the El Omrane Supérieur station, when a group of young people threw stones at the train, causing material damage and a temporary halt to the service for 20 minutes. Security forces intervened quickly to carry out the necessary investigations and arrest the perpetrators, demonstrating good coordination between the STT and law enforcement agencies.
