Solidarity Rally for Iran Held in Front of Tunis City Hall
Tunis, 27 April 2024 – Several Tunisians organized a solidarity gathering for Iran on Saturday in front of the Municipal Theatre of Tunis, according to Salah Eddine Al‑Masri, coordinator of the Tunisian Network for the Fight Against the Normalisation Process.
Al‑Masri said the mobilization reflects the firm stance of Tunisians against U.S. aggression in Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, and any other country worldwide. He emphasized that Iran is currently the target of attacks because of its support for Palestine.
The coordinator also described the situation as a “continuation of the Al‑Aqsa uprising,” stressing the link between regional events and the struggle for the Palestinian cause.
The rally takes place amid heightened regional tensions and an expanding international wave of solidarity with Iran and the populations affected by military strikes.
