Vandalism Targets Public Buses in Tunis

The CEO of the Tunis Transportation Company (Transtu), Abderraouf Salah, warned on Wednesday about a wave of vandalism affecting public buses, specifying that more than ten new vehicles were damaged by stone throwing, resulting in broken windows.

According to Salah, these incidents are often related to disputes between students, with buses becoming collateral victims of occasional conflicts. However, he emphasized that these cases remain isolated and correspond to individual behaviors, but they disrupt the functioning and availability of public transportation.

During his intervention on Jawhara FM, the CEO stressed the need for citizens to protect public transportation, recalling that these infrastructures belong to the entire Tunisian population. This situation highlights the growth of violent acts in public transportation and underscores the importance of prevention and awareness measures for users, in order to guarantee the safety and integrity of the network.
