Tunis Court Authorizes Detention of Individuals in Real Estate Scam Case

The prosecutor's office of the Tunis Court of First Instance has authorized agents from the Economic and Financial Research Division of the Carthage Judicial Police to detain two individuals and issue a search warrant for a third, in connection with a real estate scam case.

The suspects are accused of selling a villa in the Manazeh neighborhood of Tunis to a woman for approximately 700,000 dinars, using a falsified deed of sale allegedly from the original owner of the villa, who has since passed away, according to Mosaique FM.

Investigations have revealed that the deceased owner's family resides abroad, a situation that the perpetrators exploited to divert the property and sell it fraudulently to the victim.

As part of the investigation, authorities have seized several official seals and documents related to the case, while searches continue to apprehend the main suspect involved.
