Tunis Court Sentences Drug Trafficker to 9 Years in Prison
The criminal division of the Tunis Court of First Instance yesterday sentenced a drug trafficker to 9 years in prison. He was distributing narcotics in school environments in the El Mallassine, Hay Hlel, and Sejoumi neighborhoods of the capital, in exchange for varying sums of money. The investigation began after a woman reported to the Sejoumi security units that her husband was involved in drug trafficking in schools. A sting operation was set up, and he was arrested in possession of 1,800 narcotic pills and 153 cigarettes containing cannabis, according to a judicial source for Diwan FM.
