Earthquake Strikes Northeast Japan
A magnitude 6.7 earthquake hit northeast Japan on Friday, the national meteorological agency reported, issuing a tsunami alert. This tremor, which occurred at 11:44 am (02:44 GMT), comes several days after a magnitude 7.5 earthquake in the same region.
