Transavia France Expands Summer Offer with New Montpellier-Djerba Route
Transavia France, the low-cost subsidiary of the Air France-KLM group, is enhancing its summer offer by announcing the opening of a new route connecting Montpellier to Djerba, starting from April 20, 2026. This weekly flight, scheduled every Monday, will be available from €69 for a one-way ticket.
The company launched the sale of its tickets for the summer 2026 season on Tuesday, September 16, which will run from March 29 to October 31. This new development marks a further step in the carrier's expansion strategy on the French market.
Julien Mallard, Deputy General Manager Commercial of Transavia France, emphasizes that this programming illustrates "the desire to expand the network with varied international destinations" and "to meet the growing demand for direct travel to attractive locations".
Montpellier-Méditerranée Airport welcomes this new service. Its chairman, Emmanuel Brehmer, recalls that Transavia is now "the leading airline on the platform in terms of destinations and passengers" and sees this opening as "a unique opportunity for residents of the region to easily reach one of the most beautiful Tunisian islands".
Djerba, located in southeastern Tunisia, charms with its fine sandy beaches, lively souks, traditional fishing port, and historic sites such as the Borj el Kebir fortress. The island, blending Berber, Arab, Jewish, and African influences, attracts travelers seeking authenticity and sunshine every year.
In parallel, Transavia confirms the continuation of the Montpellier-Agadir route, launched in October 2025. It will be maintained for the summer 2026 season with a weekly frequency, every Friday, from €55 for a one-way ticket.
With these new connections, the company consolidates its role as a major partner for the development of international traffic from Montpellier.
