Train Service on the Tunis – La Goulette – La Marsa Line Resumes on Friday, February 20
The Tunisian Transport Company announced on Thursday that regular train circulation will restart on the entire Tunis – La Goulette – La Marsa line starting Friday, 20 February.
The resumption follows a thorough verification of all operating conditions, especially safety requirements.
What’s happening?
- The line, which connects Tunis with the northern suburbs via La Goulette to La Marsa, returns to continuous service after a period of technical works and upgrades.
- Bus line 347, linking the Tunis Marine station to La Marsa via La Goulette, will continue to run normally to ensure seamless service for passengers.
Special Timetable for Ramadan
During the holy month, trains on the Tunis – La Goulette – La Marsa route will run every 45 minutes from 03:30 am.

Ongoing Renovation Project
The technical‑infrastructure renovation is part of the third phase of the overall modernization programme for this railway corridor. The programme includes:

- Rehabilitation of stations
- Modernisation of electrical installations
Current works focus on strengthening and refurbishing several technical structures to raise safety standards and improve operating conditions. The works are now in the final stages of completion.
