Two Teenage Brothers Drown in Medjerda Canal
Two brothers, aged 15 and 17, lost their lives on Saturday in the Habibya region of Manouba, after drowning while attempting to rescue their dog that had fallen into the Medjerda canal, according to a security source speaking to Diwan FM radio.
A diving team from the civil protection unit was deployed to recover the bodies, which were then handed over to the national guard units. The judiciary has opened a preliminary investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy. The bodies have been transferred to the forensic medicine services for autopsy.
