Back to School 2025/2026: Traffic Measures Announced

As the 2025/2026 school year begins, and in anticipation of heavy traffic on several roads starting from Monday, September 15, 2025, particularly at the southern entrance of the capital as users return from the interior of the country, the Ministry of Interior announces measures to ensure traffic flow within the framework of ongoing development works.

Recommended Routes:

  • National Road No. 1: Take the detour towards the Radès stadium, then at the Ville Nouvelle intersection, followed by the Chouchet-Radès intersection, and finally towards the Radès-Hammamet bridge to reach the city center or the northern suburbs. An alternative is possible from the Banque de l'Habitat area towards the Chouchet-Radès bridge.
  • La Cagna Bridge: Pass through Wardiya 1 and 2 intersections, towards Bab Alioua Square, then via the Révolution Bridge, along Moncef Bey Avenue to Maghreb Arabe Street (Route Zed 4).

Safety Reminders

The Ministry of Interior reminds all users to respect the highway code, traffic rules, and road safety instructions.
