He also highlighted the improvement of the region's hosting capacity thanks to the reopening of two hotels in Tamerza and Nefta, as well as preparations for the upcoming opening of a hotel unit in Tozeur.
The official stressed that the cleanliness of cities and tourist areas is fundamental. He launched an appeal to tourists to respect the cleanliness of natural sites, particularly mountain oases and international film shooting locations, in order to support the efforts of municipalities.
The Handicraft and Carriage Sectors are Preparing
Local service providers are also showing optimism: Mohamed Salah Akkouri, President of the Tourist Carriages Association, announced that many owners have renovated their vehicles in anticipation of a strong influx of tourists. He called for increased nighttime entertainment and specific programs for children.
Bouali El Gharbi and Amaieur Hammadi, merchants in the city center, urged the municipality to take concrete organizational measures.
