Tourism Infrastructure in the Djerid Region to be Boosted
The tourism infrastructure in the Djerid region will soon be strengthened with the launch of two hotel units, following a period of interruption in welcoming tourists. The first unit is located in the delegation of Tamaghza and the second in Tozeur, and they are expected to start operating by the end of September, according to Abdel Fattah Malek, President of the Regional Union of Travel Agencies in the Southwest.
Revitalizing Tourism and Creating Job Opportunities
The same source emphasized that the reopening of these two hotel units will contribute to creating job opportunities, in addition to strengthening the position of tourism at the regional level. In the same context, the same source recalled that the date for the second edition of the International Oasis and Saharan Tourism Fair has been set for December 2, 3, and 4, 2025, stressing the need to take care of environmental cleanliness in the region in order to give a positive image of our country to tourists.

It is worth noting that the first edition of this international fair was a resounding success, thereby strengthening investment opportunities and the conclusion of cooperation agreements with several actors in the global tourism sector.
