Tourism Revival in Tunisia: Hotels Reopen and New Events Announced
Mehdi Haloui, General Director of the Tunisian National Tourism Office (ONTT), announced that a number of tourist hotels closed in Tamaghza, Nefta, and Tozeur will reopen their doors. This reopening coincides with the organization of a series of promotional tourist events, including the International Hot Air Balloon and Paragliding Forum and the second edition of the International Oasis and Saharan Tourism Fair.
The General Director emphasized the importance of the air route connecting Tozeur and Paris in boosting tourist activity in the region. He also indicated that the number of tourists arriving nationally has seen an increase of 9.2%, with 9 million and 57 thousand tourists arriving in the country until October 20th. Furthermore, the volume of tourist investment intentions has exceeded one billion dinars, according to his estimates.
