Tourism in Sousse Sees Significant Growth
In a statement to "Jawhara FM", Mohamed Boujdariya, Regional Commissioner for Tourism in Sousse, indicated that from September 1 to 10, 2025, the region recorded the arrival of 59,468 tourists, representing a 4.5% increase compared to the same period last year. The number of overnight stays reached 308,044, a 10.6% increase (with an occupancy rate of 88.6%).
He added that from January 1 to September 10, 2025, the number of visitors reached 895,154, representing a 9.9% increase. The number of overnight stays totaled 4,151,547, a 11.6% increase, with an occupancy rate of 47.3%.
Regarding the nationalities of visitors between January 1 and September 10, 2025, Mr. Boujdariya specified that the Tunisian market leads with 321,888 visitors (a 9.9% increase). It is followed by the Algerian market (155,693 visitors, +10.8%), then the British market (97,903 visitors, +46.8%), and the Polish market (52,473 visitors, +7%).
The number of overnight stays by Tunisians reached 780,130 (+7.5%), compared to 728,907 for the British (+47.2%), 654,527 for the Algerians (+14.4%), and 377,377 for the Germans.
