Sousse-Kantaoui Tourist Zone Sees Significant Increase in Visitors

The Sousse-Kantaoui tourist zone has recorded 59,468 visitors between September 1st and 10th, 2025, representing a 5.4% increase compared to the same period last year, according to Regional Tourism Commissioner Mohamed Boujdaria. During this period, the number of overnight stays reached 308,044, a 6.1% increase, and the occupancy rate stood at 88.6%.

From January 1st to September 10th, the destination welcomed 895,154 visitors, a 9.9% increase, with a total of 4,151,547 overnight stays, representing an 11.6% rise. The average occupancy rate for the first eight months of the year was 47.3%.

Tunisian clientele holds the top spot with 321,888 arrivals, a 9.9% increase, followed by the Algerian market with 155,693 arrivals, an 8.1% increase, and the British market with 97,903 arrivals, a significant 46.8% increase. Poland ranks fourth with 52,473 visitors, a 7% increase.

In terms of overnight stays, Tunisians remain in the lead with 780,130 nights, followed by the British (728,907), Algerians (654,527), and Germans (377,377).

These indicators confirm the dynamism of the Sousse-Kantaoui region, driven by both the local market and the recovery of foreign clientele, particularly from Europe.
