Arrival of Regular Cruise Ship in La Goulette Port
The regional delegate for tourism in Tunis, Anas Boukhris, confirmed the arrival of a regular cruise ship at the port of La Goulette, carrying 4,500 tourists, mostly of Italian and Spanish nationality.
In a statement to local radio station Jawhara FM, he specified that approximately 2,000 tourists will visit Sidi Bou Saïd and Carthage, while 300 others (equivalent to six buses) will head to the medina of Tunis.
According to Boukhris, these cruises play a crucial role in stimulating economic activity, particularly in the medina, and in revitalizing the craft sector, which has experienced significant growth in recent years.
Tunisia aims to attract 400,000 cruise passengers this year, with the ambition of reaching one million in the coming years.
