Tunisia Records Significant Tourism Growth in the First Eleven Months of 2025
According to data published by the Ministry of Tourism, the number of visitors to Tunisia has reached 10.033 million, representing a 10.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Tourism Revenue
Tourism revenue has reached nearly 7 billion dinars in the first nine months of the year, compared to 6.715 billion dinars for the same period in 2024, recording an increase of 8.3%.
Growth Drivers
This growth is driven by several traditional and emerging markets. The British market has seen a spectacular increase of 40.1%, with 415,000 tourists received, while the French market has recorded 1.070 million visitors, an increase of 6.4%. Arrivals from Italy and Canada have also progressed by 8.6% and 11%, respectively.
Diversification of Markets
In parallel, the Ministry of Tourism's efforts to diversify markets have borne fruit, with an 18.6% increase in Chinese tourists, totaling 24,268 visitors. The Gulf markets are also the subject of targeted promotional strategies to strengthen their contribution.
Development of Tunisian Tourism Offer
The Ministry also highlights the development of the Tunisian tourism offer, with a growing interest in health and wellness tourism, Saharan tourism, adventure tourism, natural and sports tourism, as well as cultural tourism programs. Particular attention is paid to high-end tourism, reflected in the evolution of markets with high spending capacity.
New Hotel Openings
New hotel openings are also planned, with the upcoming establishment of five-star establishments in Tabarka and Tozeur. According to the Ministry, the rate of satisfaction and return of tourists to Tunisia continues to increase, confirming the growing attractiveness of the destination.
