Electronic Payment for Vehicle Sticker and Compensation Tax to Launch in January 2026
The Minister of Finance, Michktet Slama Khaldi, confirmed that the electronic payment of the vehicle sticker (circulation tax) and compensation tax will be officially launched in January 2026. She also indicated that the Ministry is working to progressively extend digital coverage across the entire country.
Expansion of Financial Revenue Offices
The Minister of Finance explained that the ministry is working to expand the network of financial revenue offices in coordination with local authorities, in order to cover areas that are suffering from a lack of services. She specified that the current number of offices is 237 multi-purpose financial revenue offices and 71 municipal revenue offices.
Addressing Disparities in Employee Benefits
The Minister acknowledged the existence of disparities in benefits between different departments within the ministry. She assured that work is ongoing to establish internal equity among employees. She also emphasized that the ministry has no intention of privatizing public enterprises, but rather is working to reform and restructure them as part of a national vision to improve financial performance.
