We Will Never Tire of Listening to the President
We will never tire of listening to the President of the Republic remind us, at each of his meetings with the Head of Government, Mrs. Sarra Zaâfrani Zenzri, of the absolute necessity of purging the administration at the central, regional, and local levels of officials who have failed in their mission, either openly or intentionally, or due to a lack of experience, competence, or knowledge, in order to block the implementation of government projects, no matter how important they may be.
From the construction of a university hospital to the acquisition of a spare part to repair a municipal garbage truck, the Head of State speaks as an informed statesman, aware of even the smallest details that concern a department head who blocks access to a higher education graduate's bank credit at a state bank simply because the applicant's father belonged to Bourguiba's party during the National Movement years.
Clear Directives
The President is clear, and his words, his directives, which some have not understood or refuse to understand, are of qualified clarity: those who continue to stray, including those who claim to be fervent supporters of the July 25 process, can no longer pursue their deceptions and deceive Tunisians with impunity. The latter have unmasked their scams and decided that these detractors will not pass and will pay for their crimes.
No Escape from Justice
The traitors, as the President emphasizes, will not escape the people's verdict. And even if the sentences and punishments they deserve may be delayed due to administrative slowness and a lack of specialized judges, their crimes will never be forgotten and will not benefit from the principle of presumed innocence.
Justice in Action
Tunisians who still read the newspapers are informed about the number of criminals being tried at a regular pace and the sentences they receive regularly. However, the people are still waiting for those responsible who compromise themselves daily to be publicly exposed within the framework of the law, which allows, like in the most democratic countries, the revelation of their names and the content of the crimes they have committed.
