Zionist Entity Reopens Rafah Crossing, Allowing Humanitarian Aid to Enter Gaza
The Zionist entity decided on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, to reopen the Rafah crossing, which connects the Gaza Strip to Egypt, allowing 600 trucks of humanitarian aid to enter and reach the severely affected Palestinian population due to the war and blockade.
According to the occupation's radio, this decision comes after the return of the remains of four prisoners held by the Palestinian resistance. It marks a political turnaround, after the entity's authorities announced their intention to reduce aid deliveries by half and maintain the closure of the border crossing.
The occupation forces ultimately canceled the punitive measures planned against the Hamas movement, following consultations between the political leadership and security services.
On Tuesday, the occupation government had announced the continuation of the Rafah blockade, citing Hamas' refusal to return other prisoners' remains killed during the bombings on Gaza.
According to the Kan channel, the occupation's security services had recommended keeping the crossing closed until the recovery of all the bodies.
However, under international pressure, particularly from Egypt and the United Nations, the Zionist entity had to temporarily ease the blockade to allow the delivery of food, medicine, and fuel.
The Gaza Strip, which has been under a total blockade since 2007, is experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
According to local reports, more than 67,900 Palestinians have been killed and over 170,000 injured since October 2023, with the majority being children and women. Hundreds of other civilians have succumbed to starvation and lack of care caused by the extermination war waged by the occupation forces.
