UAE President Declares Nation “At War” but Under Control
Abu Dhabi, Friday – United Arab Emirates President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced that the country is “in a time of war,” while reassuring that the situation remains under control.
These remarks mark his first public statements since Iran launched missiles at Emirati territory amid a broader escalation linked to U.S.–Israel‑aligned attacks.
During a visit to the victims of the attacks on Friday, Mohamed bin Zayed emphasized that the UAE “has a tough skin and bitter flesh” and is not an easy prey. Footage of the visit was broadcast on Abu Dhabi TV on Saturday.
The Emirati president also pledged that officials will continue to fulfill their duties to the nation, its people, and all residents living in the Emirates, describing them as part of the “family of the Emirates.”
He concluded by assuring that UAE authorities will protect everyone on their soil.
