Tunisian Ambassador Calls for Strengthening Community Ties with Germany
During a meeting on Wednesday at the German Embassy in Tunis, Tunisian Ambassador to Berlin emphasized the importance of developing programs that support and highlight the role of the Tunisian community living in Germany in strengthening bilateral ties and promoting academic exchanges.
The meeting, which falls within the framework of following up on the activities carried out by the German "Friedrich-Ebert" Foundation's office in Tunis to consolidate Tunisian-German cooperation in various fields, provided an opportunity for the ambassador to stress the need to diversify the programs of the foundation's office in Tunis, taking into account national priorities and orientations.
On the other hand, the director of the German foundation praised the level of cooperation and coordination between the "Friedrich-Ebert" Foundation's office in Tunis, various ministries, Tunisian institutions, and economic sectors in developing and implementing cooperation programs, particularly in areas related to supporting women's economic empowerment, strengthening the role of youth, capacity building, and combating climate change.
The ambassador's call for strengthening community ties with Germany comes as Tunisia and Germany continue to strengthen their bilateral relations in various fields, including economic, cultural, and academic cooperation. The Tunisian community living in Germany plays a significant role in promoting cultural exchange and understanding between the two countries.
